American Thanksgiving Day on Roatan

25 Nov

Today, in the USA it was all about getting together with family and friends to give thanks and EAT!

On the Island of Roatan, off the coast of Honduras, surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, it also was a day to get together with family and friends to give thanks and EAT!

Last month was the Canadian Thanksgiving dinner served up at Blue Bahia. Friends from many countries were in attendance for the Canadian Thanksgiving Day, and in-turn many countries were represented today…after all, this is the Roatan Global Village!

Well it looks like the turkey was a hit, I didn’t know that you had anything bigger than a chicken, (that we heard clucking all night.) It’s all good. Mommy

I’ve been collecting pics of all kinds of signs on Roatan to share soon…they are fun!
You must have turkeys in France Bobbi!

The chickens are plentiful, we should start a tradition that the main course is wild chickens. Turkeys are much quieter…they come to the Island already frozen!

I love your stories Genny! They are always entertaining. The food at Infinity Bay was amazing… I am still full.

Thanks Susanna! The food certainly looked and smelled wonderful when I was taking pictures. Lots of full-content people on Roatan today.

    Hi Genny,
We were at Rick’s for Thanksgiving Dinner, it was awesome! I was a little bit worried I wouldn’t get my Turkey dinner being on the island and was glad to see that everyone enjoys it there as well. Came back to Rick’s later and watched your hubby’s band, he’s a very nice guy and the band is a lot of fun! Please tell him Thank you for letting Scott sit in : )

I’m glad you and Scott had a great Thanksgiving at Rick’s. I’m just sorry we didn’t get the opportunity to meet!
