200 Year Old Cabinet

Always love a challenge, but this one scared me a little…no a lot!

I said, “no problem” when I was asked if I could restore a handpainted, East Germany, buffet and hutch, dated 1811. A beautiful folk art piece that was losing the original paint fast, thanks to the salt and humidity here on Roatan.

I brought out my collection of acrylic paints and started mixing. This proved to be quite the challenge, but ultimately a labor of love produced the following results.
